Exhibitions curated by the editors of a tattoo magazine and a showcase by a fictional band-something tells us 12Mail isn’t your average “white cube” kind of gallery.

Opened in October 2009 by Guillaume Sorge (aka one half of Dirty), this art space (located in the second arrondissement) presents graphic design, illustration, fashion, photography and art projects that are anything but de rigeur. With the opening exhibition featuring a collection of images chosen and curated by the editors at Sang Bleu, one of France’s most lauded tattoo rags, and the sophomore show presenting the latest installment of New York-based artist Elisabeth Arkhipoff’s imaginary band “Sport Hit Paradise”, we are predicting big things for this Red Bull art space.
