Brimming with vintage clothes and accessories that would be twice as expensive in Berlin or New York, Free ‘P’ Star salutes the bargain without compromising its collection. The store’s two main levels are connected by a tight spiral staircase which becomes a bit hard to maneuver when you can’t see over the pile of clothes in your arms.

Joyfully cluttered and unorganized, the space (or lack thereof) is crammed with piles of purses and berets, bins of scarves and ties, and racks of colorful polyester and cotton patterned dresses.

Unfortunately the big ‘P’ is no secret. Kirsten Dunst and Sofia Coppola have purportedly been spotted perusing for peak finds. Our method is to go early, or better yet, right when they open to avoid squaring off against ruthless bargain hunters.Quote_transparent

Second-hand stores are my favorite. Episode rue Tiquetonne and Frip'Star rue Ste Croix de la Bretonnerie, because these two do real second-hand prices.
